George Foreman really is branching out!
Musings of a 30 something, kinda geeky, TV addict scientist. Oh and I have a dog who makes the odd guest appearance!

I empathise... exams are tiresome!
No one enjoys having to sit exams, I'm sure.
I know there are A LOT of people going through exams at the moment, and I am one of them!
I just wanted to send out some sympathetic vibes to anyone having to revise 24/7 at the moment. I empathise entirely.
I am now 2 exams in to my stint of "end of year examinations" with 4 remaining. I am tired of revising. I am tired of not being able to do anything outside of revision without it causing me to feel endlessly guilty for NOT revising.
Fortunately for me the end should be in sight. My final exam for the year is on Wednesday next week, however with 4 subjects still to cover, the light at the end of the tunnel still appears very dim :o(
Well, I have now spent far too much precious time writing this post instead of doing some more vital revision. Therefore, I bid you adieu. I must return to the books.
Good luck to any of my readers sitting exams over the next month!
xx

Nike don't just make sensible shoes then...
Here are some other options for "fashionable" footwear from our friends at Nike... Interesting to say the least!
Sadly I couldn't possibly put all the different designs and colours on here so please click the link in the title to go to a website selling (or should it be pushing?) them all. Although the site shows the prices in US$ you'll be pleased to hear that they are willing to ship internationally! Phew!
Please feel free to comment and let me know your favourites! ;o)

I was just about to comment the same thing. I would be creeped out if I were a guy and a girl called me Babushka.
Joy Carletti Begbie • May 19, 2010
Actually, I would be creeped out to call a guy most anything on this list in public.
Joy Carletti Begbie • May 19, 2010
I would love to be called Man Candy in public =)
George Tang • May 19, 2010
This list is hilarious!
Adrienne Chung • May 19, 2010
I just attempted to read this list aloud to my husband without laughing. I was unsuccessful.
Joy Carletti Begbie • May 19, 2010
these are things I might call a male stripper ...
Adora Cheung • May 19, 2010
At George: that's a scary list, you might need some counseling...
At Adora: Keep notes, tell us all about it...

haha wow, I might add some more that pop to mind later if I get a chance
George Tang • May 19, 2010
I love this!!! Great work-reading.
Adrienne Chung • May 19, 2010
George, I think you have assembled a list of 'pet names that a man has for his own penis.'
Except Oompa-Loompa. I don't think that one works.

I think I'm going to give "Meat Sauce" a try today.
Adrienne Chung • May 19, 2010
Stunning. Dripping with testosterone.
Robert Cezar Matei • May 19, 2010
Update: my boyfriend did not respond in any out-of-the-ordinary way to "Hey Meat Sauce!" I think that's a good thing.
Adrienne Chung • May 19, 2010
Joy - that could explain Babushka in some cases.

Neil Strauss Interview - Author of The Game
Not normally a fan of Scott Mills but Neil Strauss is a bit of a legend (it would appear).
Click the title above to hear the interview from the BBC website.
If you don't know who he is, Neil Strauss is the author of the book entitled The Game. Here is the product description from Amazon.co.uk
Is it for real? Is The Game by Neill Strauss an assiduously detailed, highly entertaining exposé of a fascinating secret society -- the international community of pickup artists who have refined their talents for getting women into bed to the nth degree? Or is it an extremely funny hoax? Early drafts of the book had people wondering, and men in particular speculated if the book would deliver some valuable ‘how to’ tips as an aid to entering a sexual wonderland. In fact, it doesn't really matter whether you take the basic premise seriously or not: Strauss’ wonderfully diverting book delivers great entertainment whatever your point of view.
According to Strauss, the clandestine society of men he describes here take wagers in clubs and bars throughout the Western world over just who can chalk up the most Casanova-like quantities of pickups and seductions. But this isn't merely for the thrill of an army of sexual conquests -- all of this is coded and organised according to an almost military-style ritual, with an elaborate series of rules and regulations that the participants rigorously follow. Strauss went undercover in this glamorous world, and learned the secrets of these top-drawer seducers. But, for him, there was a useful corollary affect: Strauss found himself transformed from a nerdish, unconfident journalist into a silver-tongued Lothario, quite the equal of many of the ladykilling males he had been enjoying the company of. For him, the ultimate accolade was being noted The World's Number One Pickup Artist -- and then he made the mistake of setting his sights on a woman who could give every bit as good as she got. --Barry Forshaw
